This is going to be an incredibly busy November. I will still be writing posts here at every opportunity but I am going to be writing a novel from start to finish during this month. November is national novel writer’s month. For those of you who write as well the website http://nanowrimo.org/.
Today and tomorrow I’m finishing writing the full outline of my book. I’m actually very excited. I think the novel will turn out well. It’s the fourth time I’ve attempted to write this story but I researched quite a bit about novel writing before trying again.
So, if I’m a little in and out over the next month, it is because I am hunched over my computer trying to figure out what will happen next to my favorite characters.

Everywhere, everyone is talking about NaNoWriMo. I will be honest. I admire those who can do it. I can’t. I don’t have the stamina or drive to write that much every single day for a month. And especially not in November. What about Thanksgiving? That kills almost a week of writing for me right there. The shopping. The cleaning. The cooking. Not to mention how tired I am after the whole thing. I wouldn’t even want to read what I wrote that week. It would be nothing short of awful!

I do think August or September might have made better months. However I find it only takes me an hour or so to write 1667 words per night. If you do that every night you reach the goal. This is my first year with it, so I can’t really say how difficult it will be. I guess I’ll report it for you all on December 1. It does seem more popular than usual this year though. I have noticed that.
